1. Acceptance of these Terms

By booking a festival pass, registering for a clinic, hiring gear, applying as a volunteer or vendor, attending any Saint George Climbfest LLC event, or simply using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our companion Privacy Policy. If you are agreeing on behalf of a school, gym, company, or any other group, you confirm that you hold the authority to bind that whole group to these Terms, and that agreement extends to every participant you register.

Please read the whole document. The parts about risk and release matter not because the Company wants to avoid responsibility, but because real rock climbing genuinely involves real risk, and honest festivals say so plainly. If any clause in these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms continues in full force, and the unenforceable part is interpreted as narrowly as the law allows.

The Company may revise these Terms from time to time. Revisions that apply to future bookings are published on this page with a new revision date. The version in force on the day you make a booking governs that booking, while your continued use of the website accepts the current published version for general use and browsing.

2. Who the Company is and what it offers

Saint George Climbfest LLC is a limited liability company based in St George, Utah, in the United States (US). It produces an annual climbing festival together with clinics, guided sessions, route setting and competition days, an expo village, volunteer and safety programmes, film nights, and related community events. Its registered and operational address is 2875 E 850 N, St George - 84790-5841, United States (US).

The website and booking platforms used to deliver these services are developed and maintained by Saint George Climbfest acting on behalf of the Company. For every service described on the Services page, the Company is the provider and the party you contract with. Nothing in these Terms is intended to create any partnership or agency relationship between you and the Company, and you have no authority to act on its behalf in any way.

Organisation details are published openly: the company name Saint George Climbfest LLC, the website address https://www.saintgeorgeclimbfest.lol, the contact email talk@saintgeorgeclimbfest.lol, and the telephone number +19157799690. These details are the ones you should use for any formal notice, and they are repeated throughout this agreement for convenience.

3. Eligibility and responsibility for guests under eighteen

You must be at least eighteen years of age to purchase passes or services or to make a legally binding agreement on your own behalf. Younger visitors are welcome at the festival, but a parent or legal guardian must complete their registration, accept these Terms on their behalf, and stay responsible for supervising them throughout the event. Where a guardian is not present, the guardian must appoint a named responsible adult and tell the Company who that person is.

The festival offers categories and zones adjusted to different ages, and the Company may ask for age verification to place a young guest correctly and to honour insurance requirements. Youth competition results are published among the combined community results only where a guardian has consented, exactly as promised in our Privacy Policy section about children.

Guardians agree to keep the young climber within the zones their pass covers, to make sure that child follows safety instructions issued by staff, and to never leave a child alone on an approach trail or in an unsupervised area. The Company reserves the right to require a fully engaged guardian before allowing any child into higher risk activities, and that requirement exists for the safety of every single young person on the wall.

4. Booking, payment, passes, and proof of purchase

A booking is not confirmed until the Company has accepted it and, where a fee applies, has received valid payment. You receive a confirmation by email once a booking is complete, and that confirmation is your proof of purchase. Several formats of participation exist, including full festival passes, single day passes, spectator passes, youth passes, volunteer passes, clinic add ons, gear hire, and shuttle vouchers, each with clearly stated inclusions.

Bands, wristbands, print at home passes, and mobile passes all follow the same identity rules: they belong to the named holder and may not be transferred or sold except where the Company allows a named transfer through the cancellation process below. On arrival you may be asked for photo identification to match the name on a pass, which helps keep limited competition seats in the hands of the people who reserved them.

The Company may cancel a booking it reasonably believes to be fraudulent, automated, duplicated, or made in error, and in those cases it refunds any payment received in full. No guest has a right to compel a face value resale market on Company systems, and passes bought from unofficial resellers are accepted only at the Company sole discretion, and usually not at all.

5. Fees, taxes, deposits, and currency

All prices shown on the website are displayed in the currency of the payment screen and are inclusive of any applicable sales or transaction taxes unless the screen says otherwise. Prices may change between seasons and between tiers as capacity changes, but once the Company accepts your booking at a displayed price, that price is locked for the services you selected.

Where a deposit is required, such as for gear hire or a group booking, the deposit is applied against the final balance and is refundable according to the cancellation and damage rules below. Payment confirmations act as receipts, and the Company keeps its accounting records in line with the tax law of the United States (US) and the state of Utah.

If a bank, card scheme, or payment processor charges a fee that the Company must pass on, that fee is shown before you confirm. If your payment authority later withdraws or disputes a charge in error, the Company may recover the amount along with any lawful handling costs it incurs as a result, always by a fair and transparent process.

6. Cancellation, refunds, and transfers between dates

Life happens, and the Company tries to be reasonable about it. A full refund is available if you cancel a standard paid pass or service more than a set number of days before the event start date, with the exact cutoff stated at checkout because some experiences require early route setting and staffing commitments. Cancellations after that cutoff are applied as a credit toward a future event or program within a reasonable season, at the Company discretion.

Passes are generally transferable to another named person until a cutoff before the event, provided the new holder meets eligibility and any category or insurance requirements. Beneficiary clinics and gear hire are the most flexible, while specialty sessions that are filled to capacity may have more limited move options because each seat is allocated carefully in advance.

To cancel, request a credit, or transfer a booking, contact the Company through the details in the final section with your confirmation reference. The Company handles genuine requests promptly and fairly, and it reserves the right to refuse a refund only where a booking has already been used, where a no show has occurred without notice at any stage, or where specific terms for a special session were clearly accepted at purchase.

7. Rescheduling, venue change, and weather disruption

Outdoor festivals live at the mercy of the sky. When weather such as lightning, high wind, extreme heat, or wet rock makes an activity unsafe, the Company may postpone, move, shorten, or cancel that activity in its reasonable judgement, always guided by the professional risk decision of its weather and safety officers. Safety over sentiment is a non negotiable principle of this Company.

Where an activity is materially changed or cancelled because of weather or a venue issue outside the Company control, the Company offers affected guests a reasonably equivalent alternative experience, a credit toward a future event, or a partial or full refund according to how much of the scheduled activity could not be provided. Logistical changes such as a moved parking area or a changed meeting point are communicated through the channels you provided and do not create any automatic entitlement to compensation.

Guests are responsible for checking their email and the on site notice boards during their attendance so that any operational change reaches them. The Company also runs an emergency contact phone line during active event hours for genuine same day questions, keeping that number separate from the general booking line.

8. Acknowledgment of climbing risk and release of liability

Climbing on real rock carries inherent risks that no amount of care can remove completely. These include but are not limited to falls, injury or death from impact or from gear failure, loose rock, changing weather, cramps and fatigue, dehydration, pre existing medical events during exertion, wildlife, rugged terrain, and the actions of other climbers around you. By engaging in any climbing activity with the Company, you freely acknowledge these risks and accept them as part of genuinely climbing outdoors.

The Company trains its staff to high standards and inspects its fixed anchors, rented equipment, and venue features regularly. But organised climbing cannot promise absolute safety, and you should not join unless you understand that you climb at your own risk to the full extent permitted by law. You agree to follow all instructions from our guides, setters, and safety officers, to use all safety equipment as directed, and to honestly report your own condition before any activity.

To the fullest extent allowed by the law of the applicable forum, you release and hold harmless Saint George Climbfest LLC, its owners, officers, employees, guides, volunteers, agents, and insurers from claims, losses, and damages arising from your participation in our activities, except where a loss is caused by the gross negligence or intentional misconduct of the Company itself. This release does not apply to you if you are a minor; in that case the parent or guardian acknowledges and accepts the terms applicable to their jurisdiction on the young climber behalf, and the following medical section adds clarity about who decides.

9. Medical conditions, medication, and the safety of all guests

The Company cares about the medical truth of everyone who joins, because a good plan keeps every single climber safer. When you register you agree to inform us of any medical condition, allergy, medication, or recent surgery that could affect your safety or that of others during an activity. Details shared are kept confidential and are used only to guide activity selection, inform staff, and brief the first aid tent, in line with our Privacy Policy.

You agree to bring any personal medication you need, to keep it clearly labelled, and to inform your guide or squad leader where its use during the event matters, such as an epinephrine injector for a serious allergy. You will not climb while under the influence of alcohol or impairing substances, and you will not join after a serious head injury or fever without checking with a medical professional and with our safety officer first.

If a member of Company staff reasonably determines that you are unfit for an activity on medical or capacity grounds, you agree to follow that decision without argument, because your wellbeing and the duty of care toward the whole group come before any individual weekend goal. This is not judgment of you as a person; it is care acted out.

10. Code of conduct for climbers, spectators, and volunteers

This festival runs on mutual respect, and the Company expects every guest, spectator, volunteer, vendor, and crew member to treat one another with basic decency. Bullying, harassment of any kind, discrimination, aggressive behaviour, theft, vandalism, and deliberate damage to gear or to desert are grounds for removal from a venue or from the festival without refund, and potentially for referral to the relevant authorities.

Respect for the natural environment is not optional. Guests follow Leave No Trace principles, stay on marked trails, pack out everything they bring, respect wildlife from a distance, and honour any access or permit conditions tied to the land we use. Route setting operations, rope lines, and first aid zones are off limits to guests except where invited, and every guest follows marshalling directions in those spaces.

Volunteers hold the festival up, and they agree to the same honesty and to their specific duty of care. Anyone who sees a hazard or an unsafe practice reports it immediately to staff rather than passing by. The Company keeps the Code of Conduct simple on purpose: leave the place better, look out for your neighbour, and climb with joy rather than ego.

11. Gear, hire equipment, and borrowed material rules

Guests may bring their own harness, shoes, helmet, rope, and pads provided the gear is in good, undamaged condition and fits current safety standards. Company staff and our trained volunteer gear checkers may review any personal gear and may decline its use if it appears unsafe, without any judgement beyond keeping everyone protected. Well loved gear is wonderful; fractured gear is not.

Hire equipment handed to a guest is recorded, counted, and checked on return. You are responsible for hired items from issue until return, you agree to use them only for their intended climbing purpose, and you agree to report any damage immediately rather than hiding it. Fair wear from normal use is expected and covered; deliberate damage, misuse, or unreported loss may result in a replacement value charge.

All rented crash pads, ropes, and quickdraws are inspected by our team between uses. Guests may not lend borrowed Company equipment onward to another person not named on the booking, because our safety inspection trail and insurance depend on knowing exactly whose hands hold each piece of gear on the wall.

12. Route setting, grades, competition rules, and results

Route grades on our festival topos are honest community grades provided to help you choose, not legal promises of difficulty. A grade can feel harder on tired legs, on a humid afternoon, or for a body type unlike the setter, and grip sizes vary slightly between samples of a product. Choose routes within your comfortable margin so that a long day stays a good day.

Competition rules are published before each event and agreed by entering. They include category definitions, format and timing, what counts as a send, isolation area behaviour, tie break rules, and the video review process you accept when you register. Judges decisions following the published rules are final once any stated review window closes.

The Company may disqualify a competitor for serious rule breaches, unsafe behaviour, or conduct that damages the fairness of the event. Results listings name winners by the identifier used at registration, and sensitive details such as exact ages are never shown publicly unless consent has been given. Every podium celebrates effort as much as difficulty, and our community reserve the right to celebrate anyone who sends anything safely.

13. Vendor, sponsor, and expo participation terms

Participation as a vendor, sponsor, food provider, or artist in the expo village is governed by a separate written agreement plus these Terms. Vendors must hold valid insurance and any permits their stall or product requires, comply with our food safety and allergen labelling guidance, and keep their stall tidy, weighted, and safe at all times including overnight.

Selling within the village is limited to assigned approved vendors, so that every stall honors their exclusivity and the community avoids an unlicensed free for all. Vendors may not collect guest contact lists from Company systems, and may gather details only when a guest freely chooses to share with them directly, consistent with the sharing rules in our Privacy Policy.

The Company may remove a vendor from the village if their activity creates a real safety, legal, or reputational risk, and may terminate sponsorship placement if a sponsor acts contrary to the inclusive values this community holds. Participation fees and space allocation follow the separate vendor agreement and are kept there rather than seeded through this general page.

14. Photography, film, and media appearance consent

Festivals are full of cameras, and the Company kindly asks for your understanding that it may capture photographs and video during events for its own archival, safety, and promotional use. By attending, you grant the Company a non exclusive licence to use such images and footage that include you for editorial purposes connected with Saint George Climbfest events and its community programmes, in print and online, without further consent and without payment.

When it records youth activities specifically, the Company obtains a guardian consent at registration as required by our Privacy Policy, and it takes special care to avoid images of children in changing areas or other sensitive zones. Guests may decline to be photographed simply by telling a member of staff, who will make a reasonable effort to keep identifiable shots of you out of promotional channels even while general event imagery continues for the wider scene.

Press and media credentials are issued on arrival under rules that protect participant dignity and competition fairness. You are welcome to take personal photos and share them, but you agree not to sell footage of other guests or to use the Company event name in a way that implies an endorsement you do not have. This section does not cover any proprietary topos, maps, or brand assets, which are addressed next.

15. Intellectual property in the website, topos, and brand

Everything produced by the Company or by its developer Saint George Climbfest for these platforms is protected by intellectual property law. That includes the name and logos of Saint George Climbfest, the website text and design, our route topos, diagrams, maps, illustrations, the festival badge, our graphics and imagery, and the overall look and feel of the site. You may not reproduce, republish, or reuse this content for commercial purposes without written permission.

You may print a route topo or schedule for your own personal planning, and you may link to our public pages from your own website so that others can find the festival. You may not scrape our content, frame our pages inside your own site, pass off our material as yours, or use our brand to imply that the Company endorses you, unless a separate written agreement covers that use.

Your own submissions, such as a question, a review, or a community film clip offered to the Company, remain yours, but where you share them with us you grant the Company a royalty free licence to publish and use them reasonably for festival purposes. The Company does not claim ownership of the memories and photos you keep yourself, and it honours any takedown request for content you can show it has no right to display.

16. Use of this website and the responsibility of the host

The website is provided as a helpful, honest service located at https://www.saintgeorgeclimbfest.lol. The Company works to keep the site secure, accurate, and available, but it does not warrant that the site will never contain an error, never be briefly unavailable, or never be affected by something beyond its reasonable control such as a network outage or a third party fault.

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes. You will not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the systems, overburden the network, submit false bookings at scale to hoard seats, or post content that is unlawful, harassing, misleading, or harmful. Account credentials that we issue for group portals are confidential and must not be shared with people outside your organisation.

While the Company hosts content created by its developer and by partners, it is not the publisher of third party content that appears through embedded links, and it takes no responsibility for external sites. Where the Company does post third party material directly, it does so in good faith with the relevant permission, and it will remove anything promptly if a lawful basis appears for its removal.

17. Limitation of liability and the governing law

Because participation involves acknowledged risk, the Company limits its liability to the extent the law permits. To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, the Company total liability for any claim connected with an event or with this website is limited to the amount actually paid by you for the booking that gave rise to the claim. The Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or good will, even if it has been advised of such possibility.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including liability caused by the gross negligence or intentional misconduct of the Company, or any liability that applies to your jurisdiction as a consumer that cannot be waived. Any waiver signed separately before an activity supplements but does not remove the reading of this section where the law demands protection for you.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Utah and, where applicable, the federal law of the United States (US), without regard to conflict of law rules. You agree that any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in the state of Utah, except where your local consumer protection law grants mandatory jurisdictional rights that cannot be contractually removed. The sections on risk and release in particular are intended to be read and enforced as stated.

18. Ending the relationship and how to reach the Company

The Company may suspend or terminate your access to the website and services for a genuine breach of these Terms, and that decision is made proportionately and explained to you where reasonable. You may end your involvement at any time by not making new bookings and by following the cancellation and data rights processes already set out, which always operate alongside, not instead of, statutory protections.

Questions about these Terms, formal legal notices, and any request connected with your bookings should be addressed to Saint George Climbfest LLC at 2875 E 850 N, St George - 84790-5841, United States (US). Write to talk@saintgeorgeclimbfest.lol, telephone +19157799690, or post a letter, and a member of the Company will acknowledge your message and respond within a reasonable window.

Thank you for reading this far and for being part of a festival that treasures safety, honesty, and clean rock. Saint George Climbfest LLC looks forward to climbing beside you soon, and every clause above exists so that the shared high of the send stays protected for everyone who pitches in.
